VISABILITY FILM FESTIVAL

50% of last year's profits donated to DASH - Disabled led visual arts organisation.

At Visability Film Festival, we seek films and scripts that are brave and bold in their content and form. We look for eye-opening and original stories, made by teams who aren’t afraid to push boundaries, and break the mould of what audiences are used to seeing on screen.

We actively encourage film submissions of any form, genre or length, from filmmakers of any background, but are especially interested in films from lesser-heard voices, as well as those that take stylistic risks. We also accept short film scripts as part of our VFF Best Script Award competition, provided they are under 6 pages long.

We understand the financial stress that ambitious distribution plans place on filmmakers. This is why we make sure that 50% of our profits are reinvested back into the artistic community. As we look to curate a breath-taking programme that celebrates alternative approaches towards film, this year 10% of profits will be donated to disability arts organisations, whilst 40% will be used to build our brand new VFF short film fund. For the cost of your submission fee, filmmakers will jostle for a place in our festival programme, make a valuable charitable contribution, and automatically be considered for our VFF short film fund to help fund their next film project.
